Hey it’s me! 👋🏼 Haven’t shown my face on here in a bit. It’s hot as 🔥🔥🔥 and we’ve been on the road in Spain all week and on into Morocco tomorrow. 🖤 I’m so many kinds of sweaty and my my feet are wrecked but loving it. I apologize if you’ve recently messaged/ emailed me and my replies are slow! The shop is technically closed until August 24 and I’ve only dug around in my inbox a couple times. If you need anything just lemme know and I’ll try and get back to you as soon as I can! 😘 . Posting travel pics in my Stories and trying to highlight them as I go so they don’t disappear so quickly. 😅 A post shared by Faryn Davis (@fernworks) on Aug 12, 2018 at 12:11pm PDT

🖤 Oof!! Sorry I haven’t been posting much lately you guys! 🖤 Between moving AND prepping for upcoming shows, I’ve been kinda crunched. 😬🔨 But here are a few new pretties for you to look at! ✨ Found some unique amethyst slices recently in Tucson and combined them with some of my tiny dimensional, hand painted resin pieces. I’m happy with the result, and had a lot of fun trying to match the subtle palette of the stones in my little paintings.✨ Chains lengths are a little longer too at 20”+ Hope to get these listed in the shop in about a week. 🤞🏼 . Hope your week is lovely and much less stressful than mine! 😅Catch me at @sfbazaar at @makerfaire May 18-20 in CA. 👋🏼 (message me for a discount ticket code if you wanna visit) 🖤 A post shared by Faryn Davis (@fernworks) on May 7, 2018 at 7:14pm PDT

᛫ᛯ᛫ We enjoyed a quiet snow day here in Asheville today...🌨🖤 Spent the day boxing up new goodies for a few shops: @reduxpdx in Portland, @galleryofthemountains here in town at the historic @omnigrovepark, and The Baranov Museum in Kodiak, AK. I pulled a few faves from them for a quick group portrait . Some little natural hand painted scenes + a few real objects. (That wasp nest 😍) Hope your week is beautiful and strange. ✨🖤✨ A post shared by Faryn Davis (@fernworks) on Mar 14, 2018 at 5:32pm PDT

Hi, I’m 41 today and I have some stuff to say. I’m pretty stinkin’ grateful to be here, to be this exact age, to be doing what I love with the people I love. So here are some gratitudes for today: About 20 yrs ago, I moved to Seattle from NC with about $1500 and all my stuff in a van so I could be somewhere wild, salty & new, and to try to make a go of this art thing. I worked a few years as a gallery attendant, applied to shows, craft fairs, and every weird little festival, & experimented with resin in a drafty $100/month studio down by the water in Pioneer Sq. I quit my job a couple yrs later, moved to an island in the Puget Sound & jumped into making full time (despite the crushing fear of failure and anxiety) Somehow this all kind of panned out. I look back and am astonished. Not all at once obviously, but in a gradual series of rising waves I guess. 🌊 I’m incredibly thankful for that time, the friends I met 🖤, the struggle... . ⇻ I’m thankful for the unique set of circumstances that made me me: I was admittedly the strange, only child who grew up on a mountain in pre-Internet days, collected bones, rocks, and other oddities, did weird stuff to my hair and sometimes wore necklaces made from dried frogs. 😅 I had a family who *mostly encouraged it, gave me art supplies & thrift store art books, and let me figure it out on my own. . ⇻ I’m thankful for the countless art lovers, shows, galleries, museum stores, & shops who gave me a chance. Who saw something. ⇻ I’m thankful that the little things I make with my hands & heart actually support my family. I honestly can’t believe I get to do this everyday. . ⇻ I’m incredibly thankful to YOU for riding along. Thank you for making my dreams come true & investing in my work. Thank you for supporting my little biz. Some of you have been encouraging me and collecting my art for 20+ years and that feels really special and sometimes I cry because of it. 🖤 . ⇻ Also, I’m thankful for all the life stuff and down times and rejections and heartbreaks. It has made my work real. If anyone ever wants to just chat or talk about resin or art or fears or craft shows or life or whatever, just DM me. 👋🏼 I’ve been there. 🖤🖤 A post shared by Faryn Davis (@fernworks) on Jan 11, 2018 at 5:04am PST

Spent the last 4 days roaming all over the Olympic Peninsula in WA then down to Cannon Beach, OR. It’s been sunny, strangely warm and kind of incredible. (Even with a nasty head cold 🤧) I honestly felt like I was one of maybe 20 people on the whole peninsula. So quiet and restful. I’ve been posting a lot of pics in my stories but here are a few highlights. ✨ Can’t get enough of you PNW. 💚 . This weekend catch me in Portland for @craftywonderland 🙌🏼 A post shared by Faryn Davis (@fernworks) on Dec 7, 2017 at 8:43pm PST
