Early Works: Sculptures and Reliquaries

These older sculptural works are explorations and adaptations of shrines and altars encountered during travels throughout the US, Europe, the Middle East, and SE Asia. They are inspired by medieval reliquaries, Byzantine art, and religious shrines, both ancient and contemporary. They date from about 1999-2003.
