How do you make your creations?
Each piece of jewelry encases a real found object or painted scene in resin. Each little leaf, twig, or other object is individually cast in layers of resin, hand-cut and polished, and every painted piece is hand drawn in acrylic and ink. They are all one-of-a-kind and handmade with love in small batches. Keep in mind when ordering that there are always slights variations in shape, size, and color tone. I make every effort to preserve the feeling and sense of the pieces pictured here in the shop. You can always be sure that your Fernworks pendant is your very own and like no one else’s!
How long will it take for my Fernworks jewelry to arrive? Do you do rush orders?
Often, I have items that are in stock and ready to ship immediately! However at times, I create pieces as they are ordered. That’s why I’d allow between 2 - 3 weeks for your order to arrive. If you need an item sooner than this or you need expedited shipping, please contact me before purchase to make arrangements.What is your shipping policy?
I generally ship via USPS Priority Mail which is pretty affordable and typically takes just 2-3 days within the US. If you’d like to arrange for another shipping method such as UPS or FedEx, please contact me when you purchase. I’m happy to accommodate! If you need an item quickly or over-nighted, please contact me before purchase so I can be sure your creation is in stock and ready to send! USPS Express Mail within the US costs $16.
Do you have a return policy?
I’m happy to exchange your Fernworks jewelry for another item within 14 days of purchase, or I can issue you a gift certificate to use as credit toward a future purchase!

What type of wire and clasps do you use for your pendants? How long are the cords?
Fernworks pendants are strung on a smooth, flexible, nylon-coated steel wire with pure silver lobster claw clasps. (good if you have metal sensitivities!) The cords are typically between 16-17” long. If you need a shorter or longer cord, please indicate your preference in the comment section as you are checking out.
What material are your earring hooks and rings made from?
Sterling silver!
How do I care for my Fernworks jewelry?
Earrings and rings don’t need any specific care. For your pendant(s), I recommend cleaning them periodically by putting a drop or two of olive oil on them and wiping with a soft cloth. Be gentle with the cord, hang on a hook when not wearing, and avoid prolonged exposure to water and direct sunlight.
What if my jewelry breaks?
Hopefully this won’t happen, but in the unfortunate event that it does, I am happy to do repairs (within reason.) Just contact me, and I can email my mailing address where you can send them.
